Someone Didn't Get the Memo

I'm shocked, SHOCKED, I tell you, that something like this would happen during Mayor Menino's "Peace Weekend". Didn't they read the papers?

BREAKING NEWS: Boston police say three people were shot at 776 Washington Street in Dorchester this evening and all three have been taken to Boston Medical Center with what are considered life-threatening injuries, according to the Associated Press. --Developing

Seeing as two of the cruisers responding to this shooting flew past me on Washington St. around 5:20 or so this evening, I'm assuming this shooting happened after 3:00 PM, the kick-off of "Peace Weekend", as defined by the rules of the contest.
