Quote of the Eon

James Madison:

"Since the general civilization of mankind, I believe there are more instances of the abridgment of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpation"

AMEN!

That's good stuff.

I knew there was a reason I voted for him in '84, even though I had the political acumen of a piece of camp furniture back then.

UPDATE: After you've listened to the first couple minutes of that Reagan clip, read this telling bit from Hillary "To Each according to His Need" Clinton speaking at the Yearly Kos convention.

Clinton was asked what three lessons she learned from her failed health care reform effort during the presidency of her husband, Bill Clinton. "It is not enough to have a plan. You've got to have a political strategy," the New York senator said.

I'm trying to come up with a more original derogatory phrase to describe this deplorable cancerous growth on humanity and sworn enemy of all that is decent and free, masquerading as a United States senator, but all roads seem to bring me back to an exceedingly unappetizing and somewhat vulgar reference to a woman's urinary tract.

Gimme another minute or two.
