Senators Swimsuit and Flipper on Bolton
Dumb and Dumber better get their act together. Listening to the two of them, one might get the impression that they don't know what the fuck they're talking about. Apparently they're not too pleased with Bush's recess appointment of John Bolton as ambassador to the United Nations. Guess what guys. Too. Fucking. Bad. Have I mentioned "fuckers" lately?
So, which one is it guys? I think Mark Knopfler said it best.
Getting back to Senator Splashdown for a second, you know you're more than a little out of touch with the mainstream when both you and Kofi Annan issue a statement on a subject, and his comes across as the voice of intelligence and reason.
And the left in this country, behind such visionaries here as Ted Kennedy, wonders why their "message" continues to lose strength with the voters in middle America.
Thanks to Raven for the heads-up on the link there. And as commenter Mike from her blog post stated so eloquently:
Can't add much to that.
"The abuse of power and the cloak of secrecy from the White House continues. ... It's a devious maneuver that evades the constitutional requirement of Senate consent and only further darkens the cloud over Mr. Bolton's credibility at the U.N."
- Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, D-Mass.
"The president has the right to make this recess appointment, but it's the wrong decision. It only diminishes John Bolton's validity and leverage to secure America's goals at the U.N. John Bolton has been rejected twice by the Senate to serve as our Ambassador to the United Nations. This is not the way to fill our most important diplomatic jobs."
- Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass.

Two men say they're Jesus one of them must be wrong.

"We look forward to working with him as I do with the other 190 ambassadors and we will welcome him at a time when we are in the midst of major reform. I think it is the president's prerogative, and the president has decided to appoint him through this process."
- U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan

Kofi is only making nice because he's afraid that Bolton is going to kick his ass through his face.
Can't add much to that.
