In some states and municipalities, as we all know, the authorities have decided that it's "common sense" to make it as hard as possible for law-abiding citizens to arms themselves to provide for their own self-defense.
I mean, we wouldn't want to infringe on the rights of the state's scumbag population to carry out armed home invasions, would we?
Needless to say, in most other states, the government actually trusts its citizens, who so CHOOSE, to own and carry firearms for the protection of life and property. Quite the radical concept, I know.
Not very "progressive" of him, I'd say.

Yesterday around 10:55am, officers from District 3 [Dorchester] responded to a radio call for an armed robbery at 126 Armandine St. On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who reported that two suspects forced their way into her house and robbed her at gunpoint.

Police arrested an 18-year-old for burglary after a Sherburne Road homeowner took his car keys and held him at gunpoint until police could arrive.
