Give Us This Day Our Daily Race-Baiting
And, so it begins continues.
In a truly "shocking" development, ABC News was caught broadcasting dubiously "cut-n-spliced" audio tapes on Monday, for the sole purpose of levying baseless accusations of racism against a conservative talk show host, who dared voice an opinion critical of President Obama.
I am truly shocked that such a reputable news organization as ABC News would intentionally air such maliciously edited material.
Not.
Say what you will about Rush Limbaugh. Agree or disagree with him as you so choose. But, whatever a person's political positions or personal opinions, this kind of calculated and insidious attack on a person's character is simply wrong.
It was bad enough last fall when we saw this malignant behavior coming from a candidate's political campaign organization.
That it's now our so-called "free and independent" news media perpetrating the exact same style of politically-motivated, race-based attack against their ideological opposition is beyond sickening. If this country doesn't wake up damn quick [read: like yesterday] from this mainstream media-induced coma of HopenchangeTM, we are rightly and summarily f***ed.
Hard.
In other shocking news...
NBC News freely admitted on Sunday that, yes, they are at one with The One.
And Nancy Pelosi acknowledged, via a spokesperson, that supporting the trillion-dollar stimulus package is not, in fact, a very fiscally responsible thing to do.
Who knew?

In an interview with Sen. John McCain on Monday, anchor Diane Sawyer described Limbaugh’s “I hope he fails” comment as “another big issue in the news.”
She then tossed to a sound bite comprised of two separate comments made five days apart, which ABC joined together. The edited comment made it sound like Limbaugh wants Obama to fail because he’s black.
Here’s the ABC version of Limbaugh’s comment:
Limbaugh: “I don’t need 400 words. I need four. I hope he fails.”
[Edit]
“We are being told that we have to hope he succeeds, because his father was black, because this is the first black president, we’ve got to accept this.”
“Good Morning America” took the first sentence from Limbaugh’s Jan. 16 radio program. The second sentence comes from Limbaugh’s January 21 appearance on Sean Hannity’s TV show. In the interview with Hannity, Limbaugh stressed that Obama’s race doesn’t matter to him, but his policies do.
