WMUR: Obama Visits NH After Releasing Budget Plan

NASHUA, N.H. -- President Barack Obama will visit New Hampshire on Tuesday, a day after he delivered a $3.8 trillion budget to Congress.

The plan calls for $53 billion in tax cuts and $50 billion in spending to create jobs. The president said that it is time for the country to live within its means as he proposed the plan.

"We're at war," he said. "Our economy has saved or created lost 7 million jobs in the last two years. Our government is deeply in debt after what can only be described as a decade of profligacy."

Obama said he was reminding the country of a dire situation that he said his administration inherited.

And, what better way to "fix" an economic crisis brought on by the over-borrowing and spending of hundreds of billions of dollars than to do more of the same.

Hey, a trillion here, a trillion there, pretty soon you'll be talking about real money.

If the comments posted to thie story on the WMUR website are any indication, the president should get a nice "warm" welcome when he shows his face in the Gate City today.
