Pride Goeth Before an Ass-kicking

Budget address could be moved for celebration

HARRISBURG, Pa. -- Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell is considering rescheduling his Feb. 8 budget address to avoid a conflict with a possible Super Bowl celebration if the Pittsburgh Steelers or Philadelphia Eagles win.

[snip]

Getting into the spirit of the discussion, (general counsel to the Senate Republican majority, Stephen) MacNett added, "I hope he's not jinxing either team's prospects by too much planning and speculation."

Regardless, it can't be worse than this.

Did I mention the Patriots' defense held the mighty Colts to only THREE measly, stinking points?

On that note, one more Manning dig for you all before I declare myself on blogging hiatus as I prepare for the AFC Championship game on Sunday.
