They say it's better to be lucky than smart. Suffice it to say 20-year-old Jihad Watters of Dorchester is neither.
Well, I think "lucky" got thrown out the window the day his parents named him "Jihad".
Officers from Area B-3 were chasing a suspect in a domestic assault yesterday when the man hopped into a cab Watters already occupied. Police believe the two men did not know each other.
Which made it almost amusing that Watters allegedly had several bags of marijuana and a gun in his possession - contraband he was apparently trying to stash.
Almost amusing?
Watters is scheduled for arraignment today.
