Sunday Stuff
Well, my contractor never showed up today (or yesterday), so I've been running around like a freakin' maniac staining shelves, installing dimmer switches, cleaning, putting in new thresholds, repairing screens, and about a hundred other things getting ready for our first open house this afternoon.
We have officially put the first floor unit on the market. We'll see what kind of interest there is - fingers crossed.
Two quickies...
(1) We had some friends over for dinner last night and I loaded up the CD changer with a bunch of stuff I hadn't listened to in a while, including Fizzy Fuzzy Big & Buzzy by The (now defunct) Refreshments.
This lyric seemed a propos:
Pretty decent album overall.
(2) Next up, the impulse purchase of the century.
Craftsman Bottle Opener from Sears.
(insert Tim Allen grunting sound here)
What can I say? I'm a sucker. There was no way I was going to leave the store without one.
UPDATE: For your listening (and stealing) pleasure:
Banditos - by The Refreshments
UPDATE: OK, make it three quickies. Timmay!!!

So give your ID card to the border guard
Your alias says you Captain Jean Luc Picard
Of the United Federation of Planets
Cause they won't speak english any ways.
Pretty decent album overall.

In the bottom half [of the sixth], a double by Hernandez and a single by Chris Gomez put runners at the corners with no outs. Wakefield then capped his gritty performance by striking out Corey Patterson, David Newhan and Luis Matos.
