Senator Shaheen to DC Schoolchildren
"Who do you think you are? The president's kids???"
Shameful.
These self-professed champions of the common man will throw around billions in wasteful, pork barrel spending for special interest groups, willingly and gleefully amassing trillions in debt for future generations to deal with.
They'll hide behind the disingenuous and disgraceful rallying cry of "IT'S FOR THE CHILDREN!" to defend any and all attempts to expand the power and wealth of the government and restrict the rights and liberties of the individual.
They'll profess an undying devotion to improving the educational opportunities for all our children, telling the American people that a vote for their political opponents is a vote against the well-being of the youth of America.
They'll stare you in the face and tell you they are the candidates for "choice".
Yet, when asked this week to go against the wishes of their campaign financiers in the teachers unions and to continue giving impoverished kids in DC a glimmer of hope that they might be able to escape the festering sewer that is the DC public school system, their elitist bullshit attitude shined right through.
"Private schools in the district are for the children of the rich and powerful. You know, the special people, like presidents, congressmen, and wealthy lobbyists."
"F*** the lower classes."
"F*** their children's futures."
"We've got our futures in politics to take care of."
"Besides, what are they gonna do? Vote Republican???"
"Please. They need us."
Shameful.
