BOURNE, Mass. -- Police on Cape Cod say a 17-year-old boy fell to his death while riding on the trunk of a moving car.

It happened yesterday afternoon in a housing area on the Otis Air National Guard Base. The boy's name has not been released. A spokeswoman for Otis says he was a dependent of a base resident.

State police say two teen-agers were riding on the trunk of a car being driven by another 17-year-old on Kelly Street. When the car turned, one of the boys fell off.

The teen suffered severe head injuries and was later pronounced dead at Falmouth Hospital.
